Hi, I am Rebecca and I am the Director of Quality Assurance and one of the founders of NE Help. I have worked within the social care sector for more than 20 years. Between 2008 and 2015, I worked as a Referral Coordinator on the Adult Social Care Direct Team and was first point of contact for safeguarding referrals. Between 2015 and 2017, I worked as a Contract Management Officer for Commissioning at Gateshead Council and my role was to inspect adult residential and nursing homes, children’s homes, specialist education and residential settings, foster agencies, secure units and learning disability provisions. I have also worked as a Quality Assurance Manager for a provider of semi-independent supported accommodation for young care leavers ensuring compliance with governing bodies. More recently, I have worked for the National Youth Advocacy Service (NYAS) as a Regulation 44 monitoring visitor, completing monitoring visits to ensure providers remain compliant.

I have a Level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management. I have a Level 3 award in Education and Training, specialising in delivering training in Level 2 & 3 Safeguarding Children, Young People & Adults at Risk, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, First Aid, CPR & AED, Basic Life Support, Paediatric First Aid, Anaphylaxis, Oxygen Therapy and Manual Handling.

I am passionate about supporting young people and providing them with the tools to thrive in society. Everybody should have the opportunity to feel safe, cared for and valued and, at NE Help, we utilise all of our skill-set to give young people every possibility to flourish in society.
